Our room had a bathtub, which was a nice touch for relaxing after a long day. 😌 The bed was super comfy, and we also had central heating to keep us warm. Plus, there was a TV with lots of channels and a cozy seating area to hang out.

Unique and quirky hotel, cheap rooms, bravo!
Very comfy beds and central heating, multi-channel TV and a seating area. Well-equipped bathroom with a tub.

Great location, walking distance to popular attractions and public transportation. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing excellent customer service. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds.
The hotel building itself appeared a bit outdated and worn down. The area around the hotel had a significant homeless population, which may make some guests feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

The best thing about the hotel is its location, it's almost opposite the Civic Center BART station (5 mins walk). It's on the Market Street and 10 mins walk from the Westfield Shopping Center which is on the same street. The union square is also within the walking distance. There is a light rail station right outside the hotel, the light rail can take to places like China Town, Pier 39, San Francisco Bay etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful, 24h reception, and airport shuttle, car rental can be booked with the hotel. I stayed here for 4 nights and I quite enjoyed my stay. The room I stayed in is double en suite, and it's generally clean and tidy.
My room is not equipped with kettle, had to pop up to the shops to get drinking water. The TV only has a few channels and only two of those were English-speaking channels. The hotel is really just for those who seek somewhere to sleep.

The front desk staff were friendly and the location near Union Square and the city center was convenient. The shower was great and the rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable and despite being on the main street, it wasn't too loud. Good value for San Francisco prices. Donuts for breakfast!
Felt very happy, no complaints whatsoever.

I am a very dissatisfied customer since. The reservation was messed up original request. The customer services were not pleasant. Other customers who were coming for the SF Pride Weekend Event was also displeased that there room reservations were so screwed up. I requested two beds. We requested two beds in one room; instead we ended up with a double bed. Later they call to say they would give upgrade to add an additional 50.00 for two beds, with private bathroom which my total would go from $75.00 add an additional 50.00 cost on top of my original total $75.00 +55= 120.00. I certainly am not interested in accommodating the service of the hotel. I am the customer. The customer care experience was unsatisfactory.

The carpeted elevator
Sketchy location, charged $30 for my friend to come upstairs ?!, not very well maintained or especially clean, very basic shared toilet and amenities

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in a great location. Despite a small shower and limited towel hooks, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The WiFi worked perfectly, and I enjoyed the vintage charm of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
